Palma Hospitality Group, a company
dedicated to the development of new restaurant concepts in Doha, has revealed
ambitious plans for the future of its operations.
The group’s executive manager Charbel
Mhanna reveals: “We have acquired franchises from the United States and Europe
– mostly food and beverage – which we are planning to open in the Mall of
Qatar.”
He adds: “We have acquired seven to eight
up until now and we are still signing agreements.
Ramez AlKhayat, Group MD, explains: “We are going to
be opening the first locations a year from now, and we are projecting 18
opening within the next five years. We want to bring something new to Doha, and
as per our analysis these franchises will have a great future.”
In addition, the group is considering
combining family entertainment with its concepts, Mhanna notes: “We have
noticed that when a family is enjoying the kids are not, so we are trying to
combine kids and family entertainment in some places.”
The company is gearing up for this
aggressive expansion by undertaking a massive recruitment drive to employ the
necessary staff to handle each of these brands.
Mohamed Moataz Alkhayat, Group MD adds: “At the same time we
are signing contracts with the franchises, looking for locations, and
establishing our team to manage every brand.”
Palma Hospitality Group currently operates
the award-winning restaurant Damasca, an authentic Syrian restaurant in Souq
Waqif, and one, which has proved popular with Qataris and tourists alike.
