Palma Hospitality
Group has entered the Qatari market delivering exclusively-leased china ware,
silver ware, crystal ware from Europe and Lebanon and is soon aiming to have a
showroom to exhibit the brands and its services.
Its branded
partners include: tableware product firm Deshoulières from France; silverware,
cutlery and flatware manufacturer Siom from Lebanon; and, crystal ware company
Caesar Bohemia from Czech Republic.
Mohammed Moutaz
Khayyat, Group MD, says: “We want to bring something new to Doha. We don’t want
to imitate the market, so we look for unique products with a strong future.”
Group executive
manager Charbel Mhanna notes the group is first handling projects for parent
company UrbaCon Trading & Contracting (UCC) but is working on private
contracts as well. He explains: “Usually we are involved in the back-of-house
constructions including kitchens. We consult on the way the kitchen would be
designed, the dining areas, and then we provide wares for the operation.”
A need to properly
showcase these brands is not lost on Mhanna, who reveals: “I hope, in the new
future, to have a showroom displaying all the brands we represent in Qatar.”
In particular the
firm has been prioritised high-end, and, as Group MD, Moutaz Khayyat, notes:
“Now we are looking to find some brands for the retail market, to be able to
also accommodate orders from restaurants, and not only from private house and
palaces.”
For now, Mhanna
adds: We have a small showroom within the building, so for any project within
UCC we contact the project directors on-site as they are the ones who are
dealing directly with the customers and representing our samples.
“For whatever is
private, customers are welcome to visit our offices directly to view the
samples and if they wish to place an order.”
