Credo delivers broad selection of 80
interior suppliers
Qatar-based luxury furnisher brings in household names from the European design industry
Qatar-based Credo, a subsidiary of Loyalty Business Development & Investment
(LBDI), is bringing the most select Italian lighting and furnishing brands to
the Middle East – to date introducing around 80 companies to the region.
Mohamed AlKhayat,
managing director of Credo, notes: “In the lighting alone we have about 44
companies, including the largest companies for lighting in Italy, such as
Disano, as well as decorative lighting from both Italy and Turkey and further
examples from the Czech Republic.”
While the company started in lighting, its
interests quickly expanded to include furniture and sanitary wear and continued into bathroom furnishings, also supplying ceramic and tiles.
Khayat adds: “Then for
the kitchen, we provide the modern and wooden furnishings; for the contract
division, we supply all of the cladding materials for the home, houses, wedding
areas or multi-use halls; and for the retail division we also have chairs,
dining tables and the like.”
Until now the focus has mainly been on
Italy, but the company has begun
to explore Spain in order to both diversify its base and to provide a contrasting
style of European furnishing.
Khayat adds, CEO of
LBDI, adds: “If you are professional you work with many companies and not just
a handful. For the furniture we are working with three factories in Italy, and
they are also the largest and specialists in supplying large contracts for
hotels and palaces.”
