Joury Tours and Travel achieves recognition from IATA

International Air Travel Association acknowledges Qatar based travel agency Joury

Joury Tours and Travel, the Doha based travel agency formerly known as Uranus, is now working with the International Air Travel Association, according to the company.

While still in its infancy, Joury has made significant headway in this highly competitive market, and now with the recognition from the IATA, has access to some 250 airlines, representing approximately 85% of the global travel market.

Speaking with general manager Jack Saba, he said, “Our industry is highly competitive; in Doha alone, there are over 250 travel agents. We aim to out perform our competitors by offering an efficient customer experience, as well as an extensive list of extras including arranging visas for inbound customers, as well as tours ranging from shopping to desert safaris. In terms of our outbound clients, London, Paris, Munich and Dubai have all proven to be very popular destinations.”

Mohamed Moataz Alkhayyat said, “Despite our new position in the market, we’re proud of the headway being made by Joury. It is important to note that we’re not just a ticketing company, but a full service, equipped to deal with a wide range of clients. Whether you wish to travel by private jet or more economically as a group, our agents will take all the administrative headaches away from you, and allow you to concentrate on what to do when you reach your destination.”

While Joury are aware that Qatar’s current focus is geared towards the business sector, they are also prepared for the increasing usage of retail and as such are planning the launch of a walk in office for its clients at a date yet to be announced in 2014.
